Come Forth!

Maybe when we think our dreams have died, and all hope is gone, God is just waiting for the perfect time to reveal His perfect plans, which are so much more amazing than our greatest dreams!

Come Forth!

The night had chased the sun away,
And as the silence reigned inside
I feared what morning’s light would show,
I thought my dearest dreams had died!

When hope had gone to hibernate
I feared the snow had spelled his doom,
And buried deep within his den,
I thought he lay within his tomb!

I feared the silence spoke of death,
Where is my Father as I weep?
Was He unfaithful to His plans?
But no, God’s dreams were just asleep…

I sat in darkness, waiting,
My tears displaying my despair…
“Oh Jesus, why weren’t you here sooner?
You could have saved him with a prayer…”

But He had greater plans than mine,
Revealed as I laid down my pride—
“Come forth!” He shouted in the tomb,
And out came dreams I thought had died!

My darkest moments were redeemed,
God’s promises cannot be shaken—
Whenever night will come, I’ll still believe
God’s dreams will someday be awakened…

Hi Fellow graber! I found your lovely poetry while looking for clues into my family. I loved it! I also write poetry. Originally from Iowa I now live in England. I wondered if you had any info on Grabers from Iowa, particularly relations and ancestry of Glen Lee Graber born 1938 To Fred Graber and Sarah. Would love to hear from you!
