End of the Rope
This poem was written for anyone who is losing hope, and is filled with despair...
End of the Rope
You’ve reached the end of the rope—
Your strength is fading fast,
Your hope has fallen on the rocks
Your dreams betrayed you to your fate…
Despair is pulling you,
And death is waiting down below,
’Tis now you need a savior—
It seems that fate will not provide one…
But miracles still happen—
Infinity has reached you,
And in the midst of brokenness
Will you but see the nail-scarred hands?
To whom else can you go?
Before you seize despair
I pray instead you’ll reach for Jesus,
Who heard your pleas, and comes to save you—
Though death has captured all you love
Christ has defeated death itself,
And nothing can divide you from Him
Once you are seated in your Savior’s arms.
