The Abyss

For the children in Liberia, lost because of the sins of many generations... All they need is love, true love - the sacrificial love of Christ...

The Abyss

The scars of sin have cast you into darkness,
The great abyss compassion cannot pierce,
There’s no way in but by a power greater,
The sacred kiss of sacrificial love…

The world declares there is no hope for you,
That all is lost where your soul is concerned:
They say that prayer can’t break the walls apart—
The power of the cross is sacrificial love…

The great abyss is breached through love and grace,
The power of hell can’t hold back its advance…
You will find bliss beyond the sin that traps you
Once you have dwelt in sacrificial love…

Father

God relates to us as a Father, in the most intimate way. The earthly fathers he gives us are imperfect but real representations of God's love for us, and the ways He gives Himself for us in so many ways...

Father

God wanted to show what He’s like,
And so He gave men His own name:
He called them “Father”, gave His love,
And gave great strength a smile could tame…

The men He gave His image to,
Will often stumble, often fall;
But still, when you look past the scars,
You see their love shine through it all…

And though they fail so many times
It’s God we read between the lines…
