Sky
I soar through trails that were blazed by wind,
A walk by faith through paths of blue;
I traded grass for brilliant sky,
I’m wearing wings instead of shoes.
I see below the world of green
And all the battles I once knew…
I am an eagle, living life
Within the open, endless sky;
Vivaciousness will be my strength,
And faith will be my present guide—
For this is life, which I embrace,
And it’s my Dad to whom I fly…
I soar with ease on thermal columns,
As grace lifts me to richer heights;
I stretch my wings and breathe in deep
And drink the love which holds me tight!
I see so much God’s done for me
As I gaze down at all the sights…
I am an eagle, living life
Within the open, endless sky;
And when the past has called my name,
I will not listen! No, not I!
’Cause I find life in being a child
Who’s resting in Dad’s lullaby…
I soar in freedom given me,
Exploring each day love anew;
With wings of faith I climb toward God
And fly with joy in paths of blue.
A walk by faith through paths of blue;
I traded grass for brilliant sky,
I’m wearing wings instead of shoes.
I see below the world of green
And all the battles I once knew…
I am an eagle, living life
Within the open, endless sky;

And drink the love which holds me tight!
