#3 - Fate

This poem contains some thoughts about some of the difficult questions in life, such as “why would a loving God allow evil in the world?”
The picture of stepping on water and handing God my fate is one of my favorites.

Fate

My mind is often vague
I don’t know where to go;
But if I walk in faith
The way begins to show—

But why did You create
So wide the path that’s wrong?
Why shall I find a pit
If I just go along?

Too many fall in traps;
Too many follow crowds—
Why is the road to death
Unguarded and allowed?

But maybe it’s because
There’s nothing near as great
As one who steps on water
And hands to You his fate...

I have to concur, the picture of us stepping on water and leaving the results up to God is great. Really like the last stanza here.

It can be uncomfortable out here on the water sometimes, but hey, Daddy loves us and He will take care of us... :-)
