We have a tendency to look for happiness in many places - in fame, in wealth, in pleasure, in sports, etc. - but we can only find true happiness in Christ.
The Foundation of Happiness
The sand we build our houses on
Can come in any color known;
The blues of fame, the reds of wealth,
And also many in between—
Regardless of which shade we choose,
Our house won’t stand when storms have come,
The waves will tear our lives apart
For sand is sand, in blue or red.
But I have found a base of stone
With room for all who choose to build—
Construct your happiness on it,
And it won’t fall, whatever comes—
It’s Christ who is the cornerstone
Which will not fail when waves attack;
If we find joy upon this rock,
Then we’ll prevail through all life’s storms.

this is so real.
I have lost count of the number of times the only thing stable to hold onto was the Rock. Even now, He's my strong tower, my refuge, in Him I confidently lean on and trust.
You can have everything on earth, but if you do not have this Rock... lemme tell ya - it's like having a dream that your falling, except it isn't a dream.
I wish everyone knew the secret.
