Gratitude in the Desert
I'm learning to give thanks in the midst of trials this year. In spite of how I feel, I choose to give thanks for the blessings God gives, and even the trials themselves, knowing that God has them in my life for a reason.
Gratitude in the Desert
So far I’ve marched without a rest
Though deserts pleading for a storm—
A throat that’s parched can only croak
The words I need to say today—
I have to say them now in faith,
’Cause I can’t see the rain around me,
So I obey, and feebly cry
What’s more a plea than a shout of praise:
“Oh thank you, Father, for your love”—
And as I raise my head in praise
I taste Your water on my lips
And feel Your grace poured out on me.
