Calculations
I’m the guy who measures every step,
Using mental calculations
And weighing risks and balances
With my careful estimations.
I would never move an inch
’Til concerns were safely weighed;
Then I’d move with strict preciseness
By the calculations gauged.
Now I’m leaping, half insane,
On the paths where God has lead,
What is this? – This isn’t me—
I should tread with care, instead!
But my calculations missed
The safety of God’s loving hands,
I can leap wherever He beckons—
I’ll be safe in His perfect plans.

Wow, very good! A lesson we all need to remember.
Love the name of your blog--not to mention the poetry! Have you thought about putting a "subscribe" button on the site so people can sign up and have your blog come directly to their in-boxes? It makes it easier for us to keep up with blogs we like.
Hello Fellow Faithwriter,
Excellently calculated and executed. How can we follow your blog?
This is a wonderful poem that exactly describes the way I approach life. As an example, I noticed you used a proper apostrophe on your 'Tis. Most people end up having a backwards one. As you can tell, I seriously need to heed your message. ;)
Thank you for the comments, everyone! I added a subscription link to the left side of my blog, so anyone can subscribe there. Thank you for the tip, Lisa!
